Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Jorge. 

Hi Vanessa, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
From early age, I loved to create designs, clothing, and even modeling and dancing. In college, I studied Medical Laboratory Science and as a hobby started to study photography which became my second major. For years I focused on fashion, weddings, and events. During my college years, I would make jewelry collections based in unique precious rocks like ambar, larimar, coral, and pearls.  These collections I would sell them on jewelry parties for family and friends in both US & Dominican Republic (DR).  A bit before the pandemic, I started a new line of jewelry collection with an online shop participating in markets all along Dominican Republic and the United States (Ohio & Kentucky). 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has been a wild ride like a rollercoaster it has been smooth yet sometimes bumpy. I have focused on being resilient and taking all the positive no matter what. It definitely has been hard work designing, selecting pieces, taking the photos, uploading for sell, packaging and all is a lot but I do enjoy every second of it. 

We’ve been impressed with Vanessa Jorge, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I love to design, create and sell great pieces of jewelry and accessories handmade from a combination of unique precious rocks like larimar, ambar, coral, pearls, and other precious stones mounted in 18k layered Gold with spectacular designs, great quality, and fine finish with an excellent prices. I am very happy to work with jewelry free of nickel and lead and is antiallergenic. I also make personalized gifts and souvenirs for bridal parties, weddings, friends get together, and any celebration is one of my passions. I love to participate in pop-up stores, markets & events where I get to meet amazing people. 

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Believing in myself and being grateful! I have been consistent and have put passion and hard work.
